Renting Details

Bike Renting

Berlin is very flat, making bikes one of the best ways to get around.

Nextbike (Deezer nextbike): This is the "official" partner of the city. You can find them at stations and on street corners.

Lime & Bolt: These also offer e-bikes which are great if you don't want to get sweaty. They usually charge an unlock fee (~€1) plus a per-minute rate.

Daily Rentals: If you need a bike for a full day, local shops or services like Unlimited Biking charge around €15/day, which is often cheaper than per-minute sharing for long trips.

E-Scooters

You'll see these everywhere. The main players are Lime, Voi, and Bolt.

Pricing: Most charge €1.00 to unlock and then roughly €0.15 to €0.35 per minute.

Pro Tip:b Bolt is often the most budget-friendly because they frequently waive the unlock fee or have lower per-minute rates.

Rules: Do not ride on the sidewalk (Polizei will fine you!) and stay in the bike lanes.

Car Sharing

If you have a valid driver's license (and often an EU-equivalent or translation), car-sharing is very convenient.

MILES: Unique because they charge per kilometer (€0.89 - €0.98/km) rather than per minute.

Sixt Share / Share Now (Free Now): These typically charge per minute. They are great for quick zips across town if the roads are clear.

E-Mopeds

Emmy: These are the red electric scooters (mopeds). They come with two helmets in the back. They are faster than e-bikes and great for crossing the city quickly without a car.
